Behavior Technician Referral Program

​The BTRP is an exciting new program designed to provide Active Steps staff with the opportunity to earn bonuses for referring Behavior Technician candidates.

A referring staff can earn up to $300 bonus for each referral depending on the criteria below.

Bonus payments
Bonuses will be paid according to the following schedule for a maximum bonus payment of $300.00:

The candidate being referred...

  1. is interviewed, is offered and accepts the position $200

  2. speaks Spanish $100

Requirements for the bonus payment to be made
Bonus payments will be made to the referring staff person provided the candidate remains employed with Active Steps for the compulsory 90 day probationary period and it is agreed they will remain employed beyond that period.

How to make a referral

To make a referral...

  1. Click Refer A Candidate below and complete the form.

  2. Instruct the person being referred to go to the Active Steps website and complete the normal application form. The application can be found under “Careers” in the menu.

Before making a referral, please check the candidate meets the following criteria required by law:

  1. Must be 18 years of age

  2. Must have a clean drivers license

  3. Must be able to pass the required background check

  4. Must have a minimum of a high school diploma
