Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)

Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) is a deliberate, defined process which is focused on activities that are responsive to client, family, employee, and community needs, and improving population health.

CQI is a continuous and ongoing effort to achieve measurable improvements in the efficiency, effectiveness, performance, accountability, outcomes, and other indicators of quality for services provided.

The goal of CQI at Active Steps is to improve outcomes for all through:

  • Establishing a philosophy and culture of CQI,

  • Building CQI infrastructure and,

  • Applying CQI methods to daily practice
