Parent and Family Support and ABA education.

The best and most effective programs are those that include all elements of a persons environment. So...what does that mean for parents?

No program should be considered effective if the appropriate skills and behaviors a person engages in are only happening when the Behavior Technician is in "session" with your family member. What about the rest of the time? If a family is supported to gain the same skills, and speak the same language, as the Behavior Technician, then the program is being delivered around the clock. This leads to increased effectiveness and a lot less stress for everyone!

When a family understands what causes a behavior to occur, and what they can do to avoid the undesirable and increase desirable behavior, everybody wins.

Every behavior is a communication. Whether spurred on by frustration, anger, or because the person has no other way to make themselves understood, there is still a message. Once we understand what a behavior is designed to achieve, we can work with the child to provide more appropriate ways of communicating.

By assessing those things that influence the behavior and teaching the appropriate skills to both the child and the family, the best outcomes are achieved for all concerned.
